Artist Bio - Seen

Seen is the "godfather of Graffiti". Although he did not start the movement he has pushed it's limits and put it into the public spotlight since the late seventies. In the picture above you can see his work on the Hollywood sign. Keep in mind he is from the Bronx and also known as the Bronx Bomber for all his years of huge pieces on the Subways of New York City. He now lives in Paris and does his work on canvas and walls.

The wall slowly mutates.Actually I can't remember which order these pictures go in. They are timestamped incorrectly.

now it gets weird

pushin it further.too lazy to repaint the whole wall. just keep paintin'.

I got sick of the non objective wave things so I decided to put this Japanese ogre over the top. At this point I am still just trying to master the can. Trying to get lines exactly where I want them, without drips.

feb 14 and feb 16

these are the first two paintings I busted out on my new wall. The wall is made of luan door-skin wood panels and primed with oil based Killz. I love Killz. The wall is 7' by 12'. I would have loved to make it 3 feet wider, but I ran out of room. Later entries will be on the same wall directly over the top of these.

Welcome to my new art blog. Originally this blog was/is created for a class I am taking at Boise State University; ART 108 or 3D design or Art foundations 2. I know it is ....well, alot of names. Basically we make sculptures, learn how to think in 3d space, and get inundated by contemporary artists.

This blog serves as a journal for that class, and doubles as my own journal and archive. I plan to keep this baby running after the class is over.

I plan to post lots of photos of work I am doing here.

Enjoy,
Jeff Turner
